Earlier this week, I attended a Lady Founder’s Entrepreneur Brunch hosted by the Ladypreneur League at WeWork, Buckhead. During this brunch, women from different backgrounds discussed their struggles as entrepreneurs and how to recover from feeling burnt out. Whether you’re a traveling chef, trying to promote your brand as a blogger, a fashion designer, or work a corporate job – we have all felt like we have lost that fire to keep going. When you wake up in the mornings and have to drag yourself through the day, because you’re just so burnt out. If you’ve ever been in that situation, then you know how mentally and physically exhausting it can be.
The thing is, we naturally look at success as a necessity, not as a journey or a stretch goal. We keep pushing ourselves to attain it, but forget that we need to slow down and take a breather. At one point in the brunch lifestyle photographer, Kelley Raye, and Erin McManness from Paper Raven Co., shared some good pointers that may help you prepare for the next time you feel like you’re about to hit your burnout phase. Having this REAL heartfelt discussion led to other entrepreneurs sharing valuable insight from their lives and struggles, things that helped them get back on their feet as well. I wanted to share my top 10 takeaways from this event, to hopefully help YOU recover from your burnout moments.
I leave you with a quote that took me a while to truly appreciate…
“You can do anything, but not everything” – David Allen
I really hope this helps.
